Do they sell the boil seasoning??
Great experience! Enjoyed the boiled crawfish, potatoes, and corn! Group also enjoyed the crab legs. Seems that it's a local favorite since the place was packed! Would definitely go there again!
MoreINCREDIBLE!!! I have not been that full in a long time.
Good food. Their spicy garlic butter is amazing.
Food is delicious but they ARE NOT ENFORCING SOCIAL DISTANCING OR MASK WEARING! They require masks to enter but ppl take them off as soon as they enter and no one says anything about it. When I was there, the women behind me were less than a foot away from me (despite six foot markers being placed on the floor) and one of them kept coughing. DISGUSTING. There needs to be another security officer inside.
MoreI love it here. It's a secret gem of new orleans, especially since a lot of restaurants there dong offer crab legs. There sausage and spicy butter is sooo good as well. I can even pick up a drink there and sit down and indulge in greatness
MoreThey have the best snow crabs in the city, order their house garlic butter sauce to go with them. Absolutely delicious! For more reviews follow my IG @krystles.kitchen
MoreThis is the place the locals go. Had the crawfish, which was great and very well priced. Corn and potatoes were also very good. Blackened fish was also top notch. Service was quick.
MoreGood service love there seafood greeting is excellent would eat there all the time.
MoreFood was very flavorful and just the way I like it.
The lines are confusing if you're not from New Orleans and the locals cut in line. Took 45 minutes to get through a line and the lady said we were in the wrong line and wouldn't help us. What a waste
MoreThe crawfish wasn't seasoned but the special seasoned crab was!
We asked locals for the best place to go and so many recommended this one. We now know why.. seafood broils at a good price... and the food is delicious. Get the butter. Service moves quickly
MoreLooking for a quick Seafood Cajun Taste... This is the place to go. Don't let the line intermediate you they have gathered a better organized system for the pick up time so it's pretty decent now. Everytime I am in New Orleans I stop by for the crab legs gumbo and chicken wings. Oh and the turkey necks 👌🏾 Not too crazy about the whole bodied head shrimp thing but I see the progression.
MoreExcellent crablegs, no butter or sauce needed. It was well seasoned. I will be back.
MoreI have never had a better gumbo! I am from Texas...I will be back when I visit. I tried several things on the menu NONE of which were disappointing!!!! IT WAS ALL GOOD! The line stay out the door for a reason!
MoreThe food was pretty good could have been more spicy. Maybe Clemson fans might want it less spicy for national championship week here in NO. For me , as spicy as possible. my favoriate, grilled or blackened fish. the gumbo pictured was pretty good as well. It had a good bit of crab meat in there. Anyway It was a good stop
MoreHad the large gumbo and my wife had the catfish and shrimp plate. Great portions and the flavor was outstanding! Fish was light and the batter was crispy. Gumbo had plenty of shrimp, sausage, and crab and great flavor. Highly recommend this place!
MoreBit into my sausage was cold. Alerted a staff member. They took my bag to make me a fresh one, and put the sausage and corn back in the warmer instead of throwing it away! Never had a problem with them until tonight!
MoreYou get a lot for your money. I went here for lunch with my family and ordered a chicken poboy. It was delicious. The chicken was good to perfection and the cajun sauce added just the right kick. The sandwich was so big I had enough for dinner later that evening. I didn't find a downside until I went to use the restroom. There didn't appear to be a janitorial service. I don't want to go into huge detail but let's just say...beware or hold it (like I did).
MoreThe boiled shrimp were really inexpensive and spiced well. The soft shell crabs were delicious. Great menu!
MoreAwesome boils. We got crawfish with potatoes, corn, and sausage - it was like $20 for enough for 3 people. The hot garlic butter is really good. They also have tons of non seafood items you can get, so something for everyone.
MoreI’ve been to this Cajun Seafood location several times and it never disappoints. Great food, diverse crowd, good prices, and a nice beer selection!
MoreFood is great. They literally sell everything. Its always busy here so anticipate a wait but it's worth it.
MoreRice, pasta, fish, crab ... In general, everything I ate here was delicious! Thanks you!
MoreGreat place full range of fresh or boiled seafood. In particular we are fans of the seafood gumbo with big chunks of crab. Some may think it is too spicy so we don’t normally serve to guests, but for us it is perfect and really hits the spot on a cold winter day
MoreI love this place! The food was definitely worth the wait! Big portions for cheap prices! I also loved being around the locals and other tourists while we ate. And most importantly, the location was very clean, even with all the traffic coming in. ❤
MoreAmazing food at great prices!!! Are extremely busy at lunchtime and can move a little slow. Would highly recommend me this location.
MoreBest boil I've had in town. I can't recommend it enough. Also, deliciously cheap
Great establishment. They get you in & out. I love crawfish. I was a little upset b/c I couldn't get all of my meat out. (They sat in the juice too long & it made them soft).
MoreMust stop everytime I visit NOLA. The fried seafood platters have big portions and are filling for under $20. Gumbo is cheap and authentic as the pricey tourist trap places in the Quarter. The only issue I have is how they have ppl line up for ordering as it's kind of confusing.Kinda sketchy area too so best to go during the day. Not too much parking available around the store and hard to exit as there is constantly traffic on Claiborne Ave, but plenty of parking across the street under the I-10 overpass. Just be careful crossing the street as you'll be playing frogger.
MoreLoved it!!!! the seafood was fresh, and totally worth the cost, especially being from the east coast where seafood can be a bit pricey. The only exception was the female attendant at the fresh seafood section, whom for whatever reason was a bit rude. But I was made to understand by another customer that, the behavior was usual and quite expected. So that's a heads up for anyone visiting.
MoreFirst time trying it. Long line and place was packed so we figure it's gotta be good. We ordered 3 pounds of shrimp and crawfish, corn, sausages, and XL crabs for 6 guys. There was no seats open so we took it to go.The sauce is pretty spice. The good type of spicy. The overall good was very good but I thought the shrimp and corn was overcooked and a bit dried out. It's understandable because everything is pre-boiled and ready to go. Would definitely try it again and hope for a fresher batch because the flavor is definitely there.
MoreOne of my favorite places to eat. The best food is when you're at a neighborhood spot like this. They're low-key becoming legendary.
MoreThe crawfish boil was decent...not great but decent. The shrimp fried rice was very good. The gumbo was mediocre by my tastes. the the neighborhood locals seem to like this place based on how busy it was. This is NOT fine dining. And, just so you know, this place is in the 'hood...and multiple law enforcement officers were on guard while we were there...presumably because it is needed.
MoreIt is a true local spot. Has a decent seafood boil and really good price
Amazing seafood! I had 1/4 lb of shrimp and 1/4 lb of crawfish as well as the shrimp pasta and it was delicious! With 15$ it was also super cheap and way more then i could finish! Definitely recommend.
MoreMy girlfriend and I went there after leaving the casino. We got pig feet, turkey necks, and catfish food is amazing 🤗. Customer service a plus. I definitely recommend stopping here if you visiting new Orleans
MoreServer walked outside with gloves on and returned into the building with the same gloves on didn’t wash his hands nor did he think to change the gloves until he was asked .... he looked as if he had an attitude because he was asked to change the gloves . He still didn’t wash his hands ....... NOW the food .... I’m allergic to seafood but my Partner loves it . I got the turkey necks and my partner got turkey necks and craw fish ..... don’t get me wrong this first time we came it was amazing .... but today it was horrible . The turkey neck was rubbery and chewy . 🤮
MoreGreat experience for me with a phone in order, even though my drink order was wrong. Not so for some others who stood outside in the rain, waiting on the food they'd already paid for. Covid19's a b.
MoreMy friends loved the gumbo and poboy. It is a very casual restaurant. Make sure you're in the right line. It does move quickly. Huge drink selection. Cafeteria style seating
MoreBest errythang in this one stop!
I had the shrimp pasta. The food was not seasoned. It had been out probably for a long period of time. I got sick after I ate there. I lived on the toilet "both ends" for the remainder of the night. I was unable to enjoy the last night of my vacation🤦🏽♀️
MoreThis place is a MUST when I'm in new Orleans. I love the prawns, sauteed crabs and crawfish. The food is not expensive and it tastes amazing.
MoreThis is the only boiled seafood I have had, so can't compare to other places. It was amazing though. Cafeteria style seating. If you are eating in, be prepared to wear rubber gloves and eat out of bags. Not at all glamorous but super delicious. Highly recommend the crawfish and snow crab legs. Everyone else was getting turkey neck so I imagine that's great too.
MoreOmg wow! This place is something else. They sell everything! Catfish, crawfish, cooked or by the pound, general tso chicken, shrimp fried rice, cigars, cigarettes, 20 oz drinks of your choice, chicken tenders, fries, etc. When I said they sell everything, I meant everything 🤣. Check em out if you're in the area. I love it.
MoreI had very high expectations coming from Houston and was very disappointed. The gumbo was disgusting. It tasted like a basil soup (lack of seasoning). The corn was spicy with no seasoning. I didn’t even know that was possible. The crawfish and shrimp were barely seasoned. The workers rushed you and you could see the irritation (the not wanting to be bothered) was all on their faces. I truly believe if anyone likes this place it’s because they have not experienced real seafood and gumbo that was seasoned to perfection. Don’t waste your time or your money. It’s definitely not worth it.
MoreGreat NOLA taste seafood seasined n cook d 2 Ur desire. Loads of good choices from shrimp, fish, chicken wings, turkey necks, devil d eggs n pralines. Every1 n NOLA goes here
MoreAmazing food!! The shrimp are HUGE and the catfish falls apart and juicy. I would definitely go back. Next time we're in New Orleans.
More☺"My family and I went to New Orleans for Mardi, we had a blast. Enjoy the parades, beautiful😉 floats, food, drinks, and sight seeing. we went on a plantation tour around the city. So until my next trip." Essence here WE COME!"If the Lord say the same!"Amen!"See U There!" God Bless!" Enjoy!" Have A Great day today. 😎
MoreGood eating and the local hood go hand and hand. The crab legs were delicious but the GUMBO is better than many places I’ve visited while in New Orleans!! PRO TipTraveling home via plane and wanna take some with! Freeze it and you can walk right on through security and onto your flight. Wanna know why??? It’s frozen and no longer subject to the liquid limitations ☺️ you’re welcome 😊
